From the artist: “My music is an honest and devoted attempt to connect people to a greater sense of humanity.

Society is in the toilet. Broken eyes look beyond others’ humanity. Lives have been, and are being simplified into numbers and connection is boiled down to simulated reality. We live in the most inhuman period of human existence and something needs to change.

Art and media reflect our times. Inhuman times result in inhuman expression. Thus, much of the expression I see is simply based on a false image or pandering toward target demographics. We all live in silos, only catching glimpses of a fabricated reality.

Lori Grigsby

Lori Grigsby has been playing guitar and writing songs for fifty years, and music has always been an integral part of her life’s journey. Several years ago, a stroke affected her left side, leaving her with limited hand strength. Not one to remain stuck, she started playing and writing again after tuning her guitar to an open tuning to accommodate the loss of dexterity.

Her current sound is described as impassioned and emotional. One collaborator notes, “Lori's unique, unhurried guitar gravitas strongly expresses dignity and importance. Her ethereal vocals range from angelic to authoritative. With sometimes haunting imagery, Lori's substantial poetry suspends time and transports audiences, lighting paths to a better world."
