The Orange Slices and Fake Radio - Double Album Release Show

Are you ready? Let’s go! Let’s dance! Fake Radio ignites that wick in your soul which got trapped in candle wax. We are the thoughts you’ve put off thinking and the feelings you’ve postponed feeling. We hold ourselves captive in the here and now, extending arms as formal invitations for you to join us here. We rock out our passions through whatever style we dare to indulge, with a love of the unknown and unexpected worn proudly on our sleeves—should we choose to wear any! ;) Come for the show, and stay for the memory.

Recorded and produced within DIY basement setups, cramped apartments, and whatever hole-in-the-wall space is available, The Orange Slices' music drives indie rock to the edge of reinvention. Rooted in the DC scene but reaching far beyond, their songs trace the upheaval of leaving places, people, and beliefs behind—balancing jangling guitars, bold arrangements, and lyrics that cut straight to the bone.

Alex Alavi & The Funky Breakfast are a DC band with a tight set of original songs—picture the ’60s filtered through Shel Silverstein and roughed up in a garage. Their music is as witty as it is thoughtful, with hooks catchy enough that you’ll find yourself humming them for days after the show.
