LETDOWN.
Letdown. is ready to embrace the positive. The Texas-born, Nashville-based alt-rocker, singer, and multi-instrumentalist has tackled a slew of personal demonsâmany of which turned up on his catharsis-packed debut EP, 2023âs Crying In The Showerâin order to come out on the other side, stronger than ever.
The prolific artistâs latest batch of songs, which he is constantly churning out as a therapeutic way to process daily life, are upbeat, hook-packed anthems that invite audiences to shout along in unison.
âI think Iâm at the end of writing about my problems,â Coddington muses. âIâve been putting myself through emotional music therapy for three years now, and itâs working. Iâm finally looking back and laughing for the first time. I consider it the upswing of the depression. Iâm about to enter this whole new phase in my life. Everything feels new again for the first time.â
Ever since he first began releasing music in 2020, Letdown. (real name Blake Coddington) has poured his soul into crafting soaring rock anthems that vulnerably chronicle his mental health journey and sonically intersect with punk/emo, electronic, and pop.
Posting a series of unguarded videos to TikTok, Letdown. has seen his following grow to more than 675K, nearly 1M monthly listeners on Spotify, and over 100K on Instagramânot even counting the 200M total streams his songs have earned. This growing popularity has led to extensive nationwide and European touring, allowing Letdown. to connect with fans across the globe.
âThatâs the greatest part of this,â Coddington says of his more buoyant direction. âWeâre all dancing around the studio. Itâs the most natural writing Iâve ever doneâŠâ
The song âHate Myselfââhis collaboration with producer Carloâbecame his second Top 25 single at Alternative radio, signaling his rising profile and the impact of his emotionally honest songwriting.
He continues to unpack tough emotions in tracks like:
âBe Okâ (featuring LĂLĂ) â written near the end of a serious, unhealthy relationship.
âDead Rightâ â a fun, catchy tune created without overthinking.
âCrying In The Showerâ â a Top 20 hit detailing heartbreak, fleeting highs, and emotional numbness.
âGo To Hellâ â a defiant, crowd-moving anthem about the painful complexity of leaving an abusive partner.
âYoung Broke (2025)â â a self-reflecting song about the reality of his life, and his future
If anything unites Letdown.âs debut album, itâs his ability to mix audible joy with emotional darkness, creating cathartic, uplifting music that turns hardship into healing.
âThe music Iâm writing currently has been a lot more fun than it ever has been, and a lot less depressing. This is whatâs been handed to meânow Iâm gonna have to make something awesome.â
Blame My Youth
Sean Van Vleet has played the biggest of stages (Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Late Show, etc.), went on tour with massive acts (Death Cab for Cutie, Alkaline Trio, Deerhunter, etc.) and worked on songs that appeared in major TV shows, video games, and commercials. So itâs no surprise that as soon as Van Vleet formed Blame My Youth, the rocking quartet immediately saw their first single, âRight Where You Belong,â land as the closing credits theme on the GRAMMY-nominated soundtrack of Bill & Ted Face the Music, and their follow-up, âFantastic,â picking up millions of streams and hitting the top 30 on the Active Rock radio charts. After a trio of Danny Wimmer Presents festival appearances announcing their arrival as a band last fall, Blame My Youth spent the summer of 2022 touring across the UK and the US. With their debut Dance With My Demons EP, the band continues to work with chart-topping producer Joey Moi and craft the infectious rock songs that spark in the vocalistâs ever-running mind. This collection brings with it the rambunctious singalong tunes Blame My Youth is becoming known for, showcasing a rebellious mix of Van Vleetâs complex emotional lyricism and unforgettable hooks, with each track further solidifying why many believe the band is set to be one of 2023âs breakout artists.
