Martín Miguel is the curator of DC’s celebrated dance music series, Extended Play, which has built a fervent following around its custom soundsystem and cultivation of true school dance sounds. Previously, Martín held a decade long residency at the legendary Eighteenth Street Lounge, and his record labels, Better Listen Records and Real Feel Records, garnered international acclaim for elevating underground upstarts and producing dancefloor sure-shots. More recent projects such as his joint record shop project with Les The DJ, Buena Suerte, have focused on explorations of international rhythms, specifically around Latin American iterations of dance music. Through his many pursuits, MM has earned a reputation as a DJ with deep consideration for culture and community, and of course deep crates.
