Franni Cash doesn’t just say what’s on her mind; she sings it as loudly as possible. The GRAMMY® Award-nominated Platinum singer, songwriter, and producer isn’t afraid to speak truth to power, tear down false idols, or point out hypocrisy when it comes to religion, church, or “Country Club Christians” —as she does on the likes of “Church Clothes” and “Koolaid. ” Opening up about her doubts, questions, and struggles in conversation, at shows, and on tape has made her faith stronger and given her music meaning. To paint a personal picture, she chooses to sonically color outside of the lines. The songstress spikes soulful-style hooks with rock ‘n’ roll attitude, bringing soul to Americana-style instrumentation, as she laces a sly sense of humor into the fabric of her unapologetic storytelling. She even co-opts and reclaims words and phrases once used to lambast her (such as “Jezebel”) for her own. Now, Franni declares who she is on her 2026 debut LP , Here I Am. She intentionally arranged and sequenced this 13-track body of work to tell her story in the order that she wanted to. Over the course of the journey, she looked back on how far she’s come.

“I don’t know anybody who hasn’t had a problem with religion at some point, ” she observes. “Just because you’ve been burned by a church or by broken people in the church, it doesn’t mean you can’t have faith. To me, that’s what this record is about. It’s about coming back to music and true faith in a relationship with God, addressing the pain and ultimately seeking to heal from it. ”
