Charlene Kaye: Diversity Shredder

Welcome to the unhinged, razor-sharp, fluorescent universe of Charlene Kaye: guitar god, internet legend and “breakout comedy star” according to Rolling Stone. Known for her countless viral videos such as “Every Taylor Swift Song” (100M views and counting), she brings us a brand new show: Diversity Shredder!

Kaye has been touring her critically acclaimed debut show "Tiger Daughter: Or, How I Brought My Immigrant Mother Ultimate Shame," presented by comedy icon Margaret Cho. That show played to sold-out runs at Edinburgh Fringe 2024 and Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2025, and it will soon be filmed as her first comedy special.

While Tiger Daughter was a hilarious and heartfelt hour about her mother, Diversity Shredder is a madcap musical about being a menace to society as an Asian woman guitar shredder. From starting out as a folk singer-songwriter, to shredding in wizard rock band Team StarKid, to starting endless gender-flipped cover bands like Guns N’ Hoses and Labiahead, it’s an unhinged tour of her musical universe. You’ll be rolling in your seats, you’ll learn a lot about how music works, and you might even confuse her for Bobby Lee. Anything is possible!
