Barstow Drive

Drawing inspiration from storytellers like Jackson Browne and Jason Isbell, Barstow Drive crafts emotionally resonant indie folk and Americana rooted in sharp songwriting, restless honesty, and cinematic atmosphere. Led by Obie Award-winning songwriter John Zdrojeski, the project explores themes of longing, transformation, nostalgia, and the tension between movement and home. Their acclaimed Nor’easter trilogy, completed in 2025, blends intimate lyricism with expansive arrangements, earning praise from York Calling as “a force to be reckoned with in the musical world.” Produced by Grammy nominee Tom Gardner and mastered by Grammy nominee Pete Lyman, Barstow Drive’s music feels equally at home in attentive listening rooms, indie clubs, and late-night drives through unfamiliar cities.
