Cat Janice’s family, friends, and bandmates invite you to join us for an evening celebrating Cat’s legacy and her impact on the DC music scene
Featuring:
Jim Doorley: An OG member of the band, Jim played drums for Cat since 2014 when they were both GMU students and roommates. Jim loved drumming for Cat until 2020 when he moved to Massachusetts where he is a practicing sports psychologist.
Julian Lofton: In 2020, Cat asked Julian to join The Cat Janice Band. His soulful performance resonated with her. Julian has years of experience writing, recording, and performing locally and nationally. But his best years were with The Cat Janice Band.
Also Performing:
In 2019, Cat fell in love with Beth’s dark, timeless storytelling and emotional force and asked her to open for The Cat Janice Band at Union Stage. They were great friends from then on, hanging out together, and playing each other’s shows. In 2020, Elizabeth II won the WAMMIE Award for Best Rock Song (“Lonely”), and in 2021 she won the WAMMIE for Best Hard Rock Song (“Bite My Neck”) and Best Rock Artist. Elizabeth II blends three-minute bursts of punk, pop, and rock with addictive melodies, sharp grooves, and exceptional guitar chops.
Cathy is a full-time local musician, fronting for the 80s band “The Legwarmers” and forming the 2000s tribute band “So Fetch”. Cat and Cathy met in 2019 at DiToro’s nonprofit ProjectHERA, dedicated to promoting, empowering, and connecting women in music in the DMV. Besides performing together onstage at numerous events and becoming close friends, Cat and Cathy created the popular Stepsisters DJ duo. They were featured together on the Oct 2023 cover of District Fray magazine.
Cat loved fronting for this exciting cover band that blends the best music from over four decades to create one of the most dynamic live shows in D.C. We are so thrilled to have 7deadlies packing in the fun tonight.
And so much more!!!
