About the event

Tarwa N-Tiniri is a Moroccan desert blues band rooted in the traditions of the Amazigh people. Known for their soulful melodies, poetic lyrics, and rich storytelling, they bridge the past and present, creating a musical tapestry that reflects the landscapes and culture of the Sahara.

Their music blends traditional Amazigh rhythms with modern desert blues influences, appealing to both local and international audiences.

The name “Tarwa” holds a deep significance, translating to “generation” in the Amazigh language. “N-Tiniri” is a nod to the desert, a vast and awe-inspiring expanse that has shaped the lives and stories of countless generations. It encapsulates the band’s mission, expressed in their own words: “We are a generation that has the responsibility to perpetuate the culture and dignity of desert peoples.”
