About the event

Celebate, honor, and give back! On November 15th Craig Grossi, author of ‘Craig & Fred’, hosts the 8th annual benefit concert SCHMALLS FEST. SCHMALLS FEST is a night to honor GySgt Justin Schmalstieg and all those who have left us too soon by keeping their memory alive. All proceeds of the event will benefit The Stubbornly Positive Project, a Maine based non-profit encouraging veterans and others to embrace the healing power of writing through retreats led by mental health professionals, authors and experienced volunteers. This year, the first annual John Purvis “Big Deal” Award will be bestowed upon a member of the DC area community who goes above and beyond for others in BIG ways. Local and beloved cover bands The 50 Year Storm and The Outer Loop will provide the rhythm & atmosphere for this special night. Doors open at 7:00pm, special one of a kind raffle and silent auction prizes will be available.
