About the event

Aidan Leclaire Band

The Aidan Leclaire Band (ALB). Formed in 2024 and based in the Northern Virginia/DC area, ALB has steadily built a loyal following over the past year, performing in venues across Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, Richmond, Boston, and New York City.

The group released their debut full-length album, Hail to the Dogs, at the end of June, following two earlier EPs. The album has been well-received by critics and fans alike. Michael Filip Reed of Indie Boulevard described it as “a substantial leap forward for Aidan Leclaire Band… intelligent, thoughtful, and thoroughly engaging,” while Briony Wilson of Mystic Sons called it “a fearless exploration of power, isolation, and the aching need for validation in an age where everything feels simultaneously connected and out of reach.”

The band celebrated the album release with a live show at Comet Ping Pong in Washington, DC—a staple of the local underground music scene—and was subsequently invited to perform and be interviewed on Good Morning Washington (ABC7), airing July 14 as part of the show’s “Sounds of the DMV” spotlight.

ALB’s sound blends elements of indie rock with ambient tones and lyrical introspection. Their music has resonated with a growing audience, particularly younger listeners navigating disconnection and identity in today’s world. The live shows are energetic and musically tight, which has helped them gain traction with local music promoters and regional music press.

Buko Buko

DC-based BUKO BUKO is a spicy-sweet punk band. Born out of boredom from sad, soggy, serious punk music – BUKO BUKO creates bouncy songs that you want to dance your a** off to, as exhibited in their debut album All You Can Eat. The sound of BUKO BUKO is filled with buzzy bass lines, emotional guitar outbursts, and shake-worthy drums. BUKO BUKO live shows are an experience to laugh, dance, and mosh – they feed fans gummy worms, and get the crowd moshing to songs like “Spaghetti Time” – as the Washington Post writes, BUKO BUKO brings “feral joy” to the mosh pit.

Lena Traynham

Lena Traynham is a second-generation DC area musician whose eclectic original music and infectious stage presence make her a standout in the local music scene. This indie-pop-twang-rock concoction draws from a lifetime of influences creating something undeniably unique. Her long awaited debut project dropped last year with her first single, “Brick by Brick” — she just celebrated the release of her Debut EP, “twenty somethin’” early this Summer 2025!
