Atomic Tom

Jammin Java All Ages
Doors 7PM | Show 8PM

About the event

Hailing from Brooklyn during a vibrant resurgence of the New York rock scene, Atomic Tom emerged amidst indie giants like Interpol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and The Strokes. The band crafted their debut album, The Moment, in a cramped third-floor Brooklyn
apartment – recording with mics in the bathtub and amps stacked high in the bedroom closet, all while fending off noise complaints and a persistent detective.

After captivating audiences at iconic, sold out New York venues, Atomic Tom signed with major labels Republic Records and Sony/ATV. But when their album release was delayed, the band took matters into their own hands. They filmed an iPhone performance of their single “Take Me Out” on the New York subway, which racked up 2 million views in three days, propelling them onto national TV appearances on shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live, George Lopez Tonight, and Rachel Ray.

Atomic Tom followed up their breakout single with a headlining US tour and a cover of The Human League’s “Don’t You Want Me.” The track was featured in the 80s throwback film Take Me Home Tonight and accompanied by a star-studded music video.

After departing Republic Records, Atomic Tom independently released their second album ERA in 2015. The single “Someone to Love” was playlisted on Spotify’s coveted New Music Friday, Alt-Good, and Chill playlists. Now, the band is set to unveil their
highly anticipated third full-length album Summer 2025. Atomic Tom is poised to cement their status as one of the most exciting indie acts to emerge from the New York scene.
